Excerpted from John 21:1-14, Gospel for today’s Mass:
1 Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples… 9 When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.” … 12 Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” …13 Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish.
How does Jesus evangelize his friends? He cooks breakfast for them, invites them to join him, and serves them the meal he prepared.
It is that simple.
If you, Christian, can scramble an egg or cook a sausage patty, and share it, you evangelize.
Does it count if you don’t cook, but buy it and share? !!
Sure! Depending on your cooking, it might even be an act of mercy!
(Not applicable to you, of course).
Oh ! I think you hit the nail on the head!!
